Fenistil Gel is used to reduce itching caused by skin reactions such as rashes, hives, insect bites, sunburns, and superficial burns. Fenistil gel reduces itching by blocking the action of histamine. Histamine is a substance released during an allergic reaction in the body. Since the gel is well absorbed into the skin, it relieves itching and skin irritation in a few minutes. Fenistil gel also has a local anesthetic effect.
